In a recent blog by recruiter Matt Gosney, formerly of MI-Recruitment, Matt asked, “Is there a limit to how much you can motivate someone?” He believes that you can only motivate someone to a certain point and that people are just not able to be motivated past that point. I agree with his point completely and believe this is even more true for apprenticeship or traineeship interviews.

Nick Couper, NSW/VIC State Manager – Last week I wrote a blog on how rewarding working for a Group Training Orgainisation can be… well a few weeks ago MIGAS held the annual New South Wales/Victoria Awards night. Well what I can say is WOW!!! For everyone involved, from the organisational staff involved to the industry training partners and most of all the apprentices and trainees, we could all say that this was evidence and proof of how rewarding it is.

Nick Couper, NSW/VIC State Manager – After a few months of learning the initial necessary skills to be independent I realized that I was still using all the knowledge I had developed in my time in the various roles I had held in the hospitality industry, such as sales, customer service, people management and attention to detail. Once I had mastered this through dogged determination and hard work, the results began to follow.

David Brown, MIGAS CEO – Unfortunately poor customer service abounds everywhere. As many of my friends would know I have been trying to buy a Ducati Multi-Strada (motorcycle) for some time now. Recently I got serious and started to go through the pages of Bike Point looking for just such a bike. I found a second-hand bike at Kippa-ring and one on the Sunshine Coast at a dealer. I also found a second-hand bike at a large Newcastle dealer.
