Are you fascinated about how things are put together or ever wanted how different machines work? Do you find yourself spending time in the shed, pulling things apart like to see how they work? If you have a natural eye for detail and are good with your hands, becoming a Fitter Machinist Apprentice could be for you!

Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Fitter Machinist and earn your Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (MEM30219).

This role will see you working alongside highly skilled tradespeople to learn a broad range of skills with a variety of hydraulic motors and pumps.

Based in the workshop, you will be involved with tasks such as:

  • Stripping, cleaning, inspecting, assembling and testing hydraulic motors
  • General workshop duties, occasional running of job-related errands
  • Painting pumps and motors
  • Packaging of pumps and motors for transport

This position is located in Kings Park where you will be hosted with a hydraulic component repairer specialising in all pumps, motors, valves and parts.

The person we're looking for enjoys hard work, has excellent attention to detail and demonstrated aptitude for mathematics. You will be someone who takes pride in their work and has a strong desire to become fully qualified in this field.


  • Driver's licence P1 minimum and own vehicle
  • Problem solving and mathematical skills
  • Mechanical aptitude to use appropriate tools
  • Good safety awareness
