THE Traineeship

Gain skills and knowledge required to perform sales-related tasks in the automotive retail, service or repair industry

Undertaking this 12-month traineeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Tyre Fitter and earn your Certificate III in Automotive Tyre Technology.

You will develop the skills to strip and fit industrial tyres to forklift trucks and heavy industrial equipment. You will be mentored by qualified trades people and develop basic knowledge and practical skills across a range of areas including tyre inspection, selection, balance, repair.

This position is located in Smithfield and you will also have the opportunity to work in the Port Botany container terminal. You will be hosted with a world leading forklift tire and wheel service company to the materials handling industry.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

We are looking for a mechanically minded individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to developing a long-term career within the tyre servicing industry. You will be enthusiastic to learn, willing to follow instructions and have an aptitude for hands-on, mechanical tasks.

  • Thirst for knowledge and learning new skills
  • Team player with good work ethic
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
