The opportunity
Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Boilermaker by earning your Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication trade (MEM30305). During your apprenticeship you’ll be working on machinery in the Mining, Energy, Infrastructure and Construction sectors learning:
- General fabrication and welding, including cutting, drilling and bending metals;
- How to examine and interpret drawings and specifications;
- Set up and operate hand and machine tools; and
- Assist in general workshop maintenance.

Who we’re looking for
This apprenticeship is for people who like to work hard, are eager to learn in an exciting environment, enjoy working with a variety of large machinery and want to work on a bigger scale. We are looking for someone who is happy to get in and get dirty while being committed to completing this trade and becoming qualified. In addition to this you’ll need:
- Have a reliable way to get to and from work – no public transport nearby
- Have good motor skills;
- Be enthusiastic, mature-minded and possess good communication skills; and
- Be committed to learning from dedicated tradesmen who are passionate about what they do
