Did you have a knack for welding and metalwork during school; or maybe you like spending your free time building and creating projects with your hands? If you think you’re up for a challenge and a job with variety, then becoming a boilermaking apprenticeship could be what you’re after!

Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Boilermaker and earn your Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication (MEM30305). This apprenticeship gives you the chance to get your hands on some bigger scale projects! On a day-to-day basis you will learn the skills to fabricate, cut, weld, form and create components used in the in a variety of heavy transport equipment – such as semi-trailers, flat-bed trailers, truck bodies and more.  

This position is located in Truganina and you will be hosted with a semi-trailer manufacturer who is an industry leader in the Australian transport industry. The workplace will support you throughout your training and will expose you to a variety of construction equipment and big toys for you to tinker on.

We are looking for someone whose math’s skills are up to scratch, isn’t afraid of hands-on work and someone who is genuinely interested in starting their career in the boilermaking trade. To be successful in this trade you will need to be reliable, have solid time management skills and attention to detail and are customer driven.

Must have’s:  

  • Reliable transport to and from work in Truganina on a daily basis
  • Be comfortable and confident communicating with customers, stakeholders and other team members
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment medical test, including drug and alcohol testing
