THE APPRENTICESHIP

Do you have a problem solving mindset, a high level of mathematics, have an affinity for computers and keep up to date on the latest technology? Take your electronics skills to the next level with this Instrumentation Control apprenticeship.

Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become qualified in Instrumentation and Control and earn your Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Control.

You will acquire the skills to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain systems and devices for measurement in industrial settings. Day-to-day your role will be to take apart these devices and rebuild them, replacing and servicing any parts as necessary, and in doing so, you will become an expert in their functionality.

This position will be based in Blackburn and you will be hosted with a well-respected company, specialising in the provision and servicing of test and measurement devices for high profile clients across a range of industries.

Must have’s 

  • Have an affinity for computers and electronic devices – following advances in technology
  • Possess a diagnostic ability – you like to solve problems by finding out how things work;
  • Be good with numbers and maths – to be successful in this industry you need to know your way around the figures to make important calculations;
  • Pay strong attention to detail – you understand how to small things effect the big picture;
  • Completed Year 12 or an equivalent pre-apprenticeship program.
