The Apprenticeship

We are looking for a 2nd or 3rd Year electrical apprentice who wants to diversify their skill-set whilst completing their Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician. In this unique role, you will install and maintain traffic light systems, street lights, data cabling, repair and maintain telecommunications equipment for regional traffic control and public information system, and data input into the transport computerised traffic signals monitoring and control systems.

This is a full-time position working an 8 and 9-day fortnight (Monday-Thursday), with an alternating shift roster of Day Shift 0700 to 1600, and Night Shift 1800 to 0330.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for motivated 2nd or 3rd Year apprentices looking to continue their trade. You must be willing to learn and be a great team player. You must also be safety conscious and be committed to maintaining a zero-harm workplace. In addition to these skills, you will:
  • Possess a driver’s licence (manual preferred)
  • Have up to date e-profiling and LVR/CPR tickets
  • Be flexible, as you will need to be available for call-out and need to be able to work night shifts
  • Be passionate about the trade – tell us in your cover letter about your experience to date!
