You will be working Monday to Friday between 7am to 3.30pm with the occasional weekend and possible after hours’ call out work. At the end of your Traineeship you will have completed a Diploma of Environmental Monitoring and Technology (MSS50216).
No day is ever quite the same in this traineeship as you will be required to work at a variety of different locations calibrating, using and setting up air and water quality testing and sampling equipment, inputting monitoring results and creating reports. This is a multi-faceted position that requires high attention to detail, commitment to quality while maintaining a high focus on safety and the ability to communicate effectively. It can be physically demanding under a variety of differing weather conditions and involves computer work.
Who we’re looking for
The person we’re looking for enjoys hard work. They are a lover of the outdoors and completing physically demanding tasks whilst being computer literate particularly in MS Excel, Word and Outlook. But most of all we are looking for passion and enthusiasm with a strong commitment to safety. In addition to this you will have the right attitude for the role, be willing to go the extra mile to impress, and the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders. A manual drivers licence is not essential, but would be advantageous. Experience or an interest in electronics would also be advantageous.
