Undertaking this 24 month traineeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Laboratory Technician while completing your Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques.

You will develop skills on encompassing the setup of environmental monitoring, using and calibrating equipment used for the environmental sampling and field analysis of air and water. This will also include the entry of results into spreadsheets and databases and other general equipment maintenance. You will learn a variety of valuable skills to become a successful Laboratory Technician.

This position is located in Singleton where you will be hosted with a well-respected and well-known American multinational engineering firm that delivers professional services in transportation, buildings, water, new energy and the environment.

We are looking for someone who has high attention to detail, high commitment to quality and good time management skills. You will have a high standard of safety awareness, the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of personnel and stake holders, and excellent reliability. You will be a team player who can also work independently and be willing to work weekends if required.


  • Year 12 Certificate
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and emphasis on Excel
  • Driver’s licence required – Minimum P2, manual preferred
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 & willingness to obtain and maintain Tetanus and Hepatitis vaccination
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing and a police check
