Are you fascinated by how things are put together or ever wanted to know how different machines work? Do you find yourself spending time in the shed, pulling things apart to see how they work? If you have a natural eye for detail and are good with your hands, becoming a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice could be for you!

This four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter and earn a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).

You will develop skills in a number of different disciplines in this role including maintenance, machining and welding while working on hydraulic cylinders. You will learn to clean, reseal, reassemble, and pressure test the cylinders while having the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled tradespeople and assist professionals giving you real world experience.

You will be hosted with a well renowned engineering company that specialises in offering comprehensive solutions across hydraulics, filtration and engineering industries and you will be based at their site in Wetherill Park.

We’re looking for mechanically minded applicants who take pride in their work, have an attention to detail and are keen to learn.

If you have some previous mechanical experience and would like to formalise your qualification that would be an advantage but our client would also look at a candidate who has perhaps started an engineering trade and is looking for the variety to complete their apprenticeship.


  • Valid P1 licence minimum
  • Can do attitude
  • Good maths and computer literacy skills
  • Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical, Drug & Alcohol and a Police Check
  • Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19
