The opportunity                                                                                            

Partnered with our client, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a love of plants and working outdoors, looking to start their career in Horticulture. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain on-the-job experience learning from industry professionals. The duration of the apprenticeship is 2 years in which you will complete your Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.

Focusing on enhancing commercial landscapes, your primary responsibilities will include: scheduled maintenance of parks and gardens in the Sydney region including mowing and edging, pruning trees and shrubs, planting new gardens, weeding/controlling weeds and fertilising.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who has passion or interest in horticulture /plants environment, enjoys hard work, loves working outdoors. Most of all they will be passionate and enthusiastic about working in this field, with the right attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to impress. In addition to these qualities, you will possess the following requirements:

  • Current drivers licence and own vehicle
  • Be reliable for full-time working hours Monday to Friday
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all sorts of weather conditions
  • Be committed to completing and passing all practical and theory-based study requirements of your Apprenticeship
