The opportunity

Partnered with our client, we are looking for a motivated go-getter looking to kick-start their career as a Roof Plumber. Over this 4 year Apprenticeship, you will also be completing your theory coursework in a digital delivery mode, working towards a Certificate III in Roof Plumbing (CPC32612). On a day-to-day basis, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding
  • Working safely at heights
  • Reading plans and drawings
  • Levelling, cutting and joining sheet metal
  • Marking out materials
  • Roof sheeting and wall cladding
  • Fabricating and installing external flashings and roof drainage components
  • Installing roof components
  • Use of plumbing hand and power tools

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for a candidate who enjoys practical and physical work, and who has a genuine interest in learning the trade. You will be energetic and have strong communication skills, as well as being someone who is willing to work with a variety of people and not be afraid to get stuck into the job at hand. This is a 4 year apprenticeship so we will value your drive and commitment from both commencement to completion. In addition to these qualities, you will possess the following requirements:

  • A current White card
  • Valid drivers licence with reliable transport to and from work
  • Be comfortable working at heights
  • Be reliable for full-time hours and overtime as required
  • Be dedicated to following all WHS policies and procedures
  • Be committed to completing and passing all theory and practical training modules of an apprenticeship
  • Enjoy hard work and have good motor skills
  • Be able to work efficiently independently and as part of a team
  • Be reliable for full-time working hours Monday to Friday
  • Be committed to completing and passing all practical and theory-based study requirements of a traineeship
