A Civil Construction Apprenticeship will prepare you for a job where you will work on the construction of residential, commercial and industrial infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, tunnels, footpaths, building foundations and more. It is a large industry that incorporates a number of different qualifications and specialisations.
Civil Construction apprentices and trainees often build the formwork for concrete structures. They may work in a range of environments, from residential developments constructing footpaths, to mine sites structuring the foundations for large-scale concrete structures like bridges.
This trade requires a three- or four-year apprenticeship depending on your specialisation. MIGAS will facilitate your practical work placement with one of our quality host employers. In addition to on-the-job training, we will assist you with enrolment through a Registered Training Organisation to complete your certification. With MIGAS you will be fully supported throughout the duration of your placement by a Field Officer and by the wider MIGAS Apprentices and Trainees community.
