The Opportunity
Partnered with our host Statewide Bearings, we are looking for an Accounts Trainee eager to learn and gain experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
This role offers the opportunity to complete a FNS30122 Certificate III in Financial Services, followed by BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business (Finance).
This position is full-time based in Kewdale, Perth.
The ideal candidate will have prior work experience, but it is not a requirement.

Over the 12-month traineeship, you will receive ongoing mentoring and support, gaining practical experience while completing relevant theoretical coursework.
Your duties will include:
- Perform general administrative tasks related to accounts receivable
- Accurately calculate, record, and process financial data
- Proactively contact customers via phone or email to follow up on outstanding payments
- Facilitate the opening of new customer accounts
- Process and evaluate credit applications in accordance with company policies
- Effectively manage overdue customer accounts and ensure timely resolution
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of customer accounts to ensure smooth operations

- Complete a FNS30122 Certificate III in Financial Services in the first year. Then there is the option to continue on with Statewide Bearings in the second year to take on a BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business (Finance)
About You
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a willingness to engage in some manual handling within a mechanical industrial setting.
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in accounting, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, is essential for this Accounts Traineeship.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- A keen interest in accounting or finance
- Interested in learning about Statewide Bearings products and services
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to ask questions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (experience with accounting software is a plus)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
In addition:
- You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Must possess a valid Driver's Licence to perform required duties
- Have the ability to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
