The Opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated, tech-savvy people genuinely interested in working in a changing technological industry.

The Certificate III in Data and Voice Communications is an apprenticeship that’s perfect for anyone wanting to start their career in the telecommunications industry, or for experienced technicians who want to upskill to take advantage of new and emerging technologies in the telecommunications or electronic security sectors.

You will learn how to install, recommission, and upgrade CCTV, alarm and access control systems for major retailers, department stores, rail, prisons, and government departments. The work is generally in the local area and will involve going to various sites.

Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Security Installation Technician and earn your UEE30420 Certificate III in Data and Voice Communications.

About You

Ideally you will have:

  • A passion for a career in a changing technological industry
  • IT experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Previous experience or a Certificate II in Electrotechnology looked upon favourably
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Elevating Work Platforms (EWP0 ticket preferred but not essential
  • Excellent safety awareness
  • Current driver's licence, P Plate min- a manual license would be advantageous 
  • White Card
  • Ability to successfully pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and a Police Check
