Environmental Field Technician Traineeship

The Opportunity

Our host AECOM is a well-respected and well-known multinational engineering firm that delivers professional services in transportation, buildings, water, new energy and the environment.

In your role as an Environmental Field Technician Trainee, you will be collecting samples of air, dust, soil, and water from mining sites, power stations, and industrial sites.

Job Details

You will be assisting in environmental monitoring, recording and reporting data, and processing samples. In addition, you will be involved in completing pre-start checks, site inductions, liaising with clients, and using spreadsheets and maps.

This position is not a laboratory-based role and is ideal for those interested in applying practical skills and working outdoors.

Undertaking this two-year traineeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Environmental Field Technician and earn your MSL30122 Certificate III in Laboratory Skills.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Technically minded with a high attention to detail
  • Driver's licence – Open licence preferable / P2 minimum
  • White Card or willing to obtain
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol check
