The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time Logistics Specialist Trainee to join the warehouse team in Penrith, in partnership with Legend Hire.

Legend Hire leads Australia in stringing, shoring, jacking, and power equipment hire for complex projects, backed by skilled professionals and advanced equipment to ensure superior service and support.

This two-year traineeship combines practical warehousing experience with the opportunity to complete a TLI30321 Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations, helping you build a strong career path.

Job Details

In this role, you will be supporting a small team by assisting with a variety of operational and warehouse tasks, helping to ensure the smooth flow of goods through receiving, handling, and dispatch processes.

This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to develop practical skills in a supportive, team-based warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately receive, label, and put away incoming stock
  • Assist with regular cycle counts and support annual stocktakes
  • Pick orders in line with standard operating procedures, ensuring correct product, quantity, and quality
  • Pack and palletise goods for transport, completing all relevant dispatch documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in compliance with WHS policies
  • Communicate courteously with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Support the Hire Desk with queries related to equipment availability and preparation
  • Prepare and load vehicles to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings the following qualities and experience:

  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely
  • A reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence
  • A forklift licence is highly regarded
  • Excellent attention to detail, with solid numeracy and literacy skills
  • A positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a high-performing team
  • Prior work experience warehouse experience is an advantage but not essential
  • A commitment to delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Energetic, proactive, and adaptable comfortable with change and open to cross-training
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills not afraid to ask questions or seek clarification
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug & Alcohol Screening, and Police Check
