MIGAS Host Company IVECO Supporting Australian Apprenticeships in Sydney
To help stimulate opportunities for school leavers in Sydney, and in conjunction with the MIGAS 100JOBS campaign, IVECO Australia have pledged to add another Australian Apprentice to the seven they currently host.
IVECO Australia Service Manager, Patrick Schinella, said employing Australian Apprentices and Trainees is crucial to the security of Australia’s workforce and economy.
“All apprentices are great for the vehicle mechanics industry and one third of my mechanical staff are made up of apprentices, they certainly have the capability to bring financial rewards to a company,” he said.
As somebody who had their start in vehicle mechanics from an apprenticeship, Mr Schinella can speak to their value.
"I started my apprenticeship in 1974; a 40-year career speaks to how important apprenticeships can be. The more exposure to the workforce they have, the better they get at their job,” said Mr Schinella.
MIGAS is proud to work with companies like IVECO to secure a qualified workforce for the future of Australian Industry.
