Queensland Brain Institute Proud of Their MIGAS Apprentice

Ethan Park - award winning MIGAS Fitting and Turning apprentice

MIGAS QLD Apprentice of the Year, Ethan Park, recently completed a Certificate III in Engineering with the University of Queensland’s Queensland Brain Institute (QBI).

Quality is a must in working with QBI, as Ethan builds custom made equipment to assist scientists, professors and postgraduate students requiring custom made equipment for their research. Ethan excelled throughout his apprenticeship, which eventually culminated in him winning the MIGAS QLD Apprentice of the Year Award in 2015 and gaining a full time position with QBI on completion of this apprenticeship.

John Steptoe, Ethan’s supervisor, has always been proud of Ethan and supportive of him throughout his apprenticeship. The entire workshop was ecstatic to find out Ethan had won the award at the MIGAS Awards Night.
