Safety Star Award Winner June 2015
Congratulations to 2nd year Air-conditioning and Refrigeration apprentice, Phillip Maori, in Victoria who has been awarded MIGAS Safety Star for June 2015.
Phillip works with host company Hirotec in Keysborough, Victoria.
Phillip has shown initiative at the start of each day and each job at his workplace. He will write a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) needed to complete the task. Once he has completed a SWMS, Phillip will go through the steps to safely complete the job ahead alongside his supervising technician.
Phillip says that completing a SWMS prior to the job is helping him to grow in confidence and to have a better awareness of safety in the workplace.
Well done Phillip!
