Safety Star Award Winner November 2015
Congratulations to our November Safety Star Zane Bourke, 1st year Plant Mechanic apprentice with LCR Group in Chinchilla, QLD.
Zane was nominated for the award by his host supervisor at LCR Group, Trent Henry, who wished to recognise Zane for his excellent safety practices.
While completing a welding repair on a gate onsite at LCR, Zane showed exceptional safety initiative by barricading the gate in order to prevent traffic from entering or exiting via the gate, and also had a similar barricade set up around himself for extra safety. Zane had on all appropriate PPE, including a welding mask, gloves, boots and had his welding blanket on hand. In addition to recognising his safe work practices, Trent also pointed out that Zane did a great job on the weld, and told him to keep up the good work for the future.
Well done Zane!
