Safety Star Award Winner September 2015

Ashley - Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentice in Melbourne

Congratulations to Ashley Adonis, MIGAS September Safety Star and 4th year Air Conditioning and Refrigeration apprentice with Hirotec in Melbourne.

Hirotec received some excellent feedback on Ashley from an external client at the Melbourne University. Ashley escorted them safely and efficiently through the site and impressed the clients with his knowledge of the building and how the system worked.

Anita Johns, Ashley’s MIGAS Field Officer, feels he has come a long way in his apprenticeship and is proud of the recognition he is receiving. Anita received some wonderful feedback from Ashley's host:

“Ashley was requested by his supervisor to guide the client senior engineers through one of their buildings. After the visit, the client engineer stated that Ashley's "knowledge of this building was amazing. We were both impressed on what he understood about the building and how the system works, in such a critical, somewhat complex, building. For someone that is close to coming out of his time as an apprentice, we can see he will go a long way and is an asset to your company."

Well done Ashley! You are very deserving of this months' MIGAS Safety Star Award.

Each month MIGAS awards one Safety Star Award to a MIGAS Australian Apprentice or Trainee that is excelling in Workplace Health and Safety at their host company. If you host MIGAS apprentices or trainees at your workplace and would like to nominate them to receive a Safety Star Award, print the below flyer and follow the instructions on how to submit your nomination.
