Toowoomba Trainee Receives MIGAS Top Honours for Safety

First year business administration trainee Emily Parr-Smith has been named MIGAS’ Safety Star Winner for May 2016 after going above and beyond to protect her colleagues in the workplace.

MIGAS nominated Emily for its highly coveted monthly safety award because of the determination she showed in improving the safety programs of her parents business P & M Parr-Smith.

Emily went out of her way to set up registers and establish a more in-depth induction process at the Toowoomba construction company, and has taken an active interest in safety that did not go unnoticed by MIGAS or her supervisors.

MIGAS searches each month for a worthy recipient of its monthly Safety Star Award program to shine a light on apprentices and trainees excelling in their commitment to Workplace Health and Safety at their host companies.

At MIGAS safety is our top priority. We have specialised Field Officers and dedicated Safety Professionals who strive to ensure our apprentices, trainees, internal staff and labour hire workers enjoy a safe and healthy workplace and receive ongoing support.
