About WorldSkills Australia

WorldSkills Australia has been at the forefront of promoting skills excellence since 1981. It operates competitions at regional, national, and international levels, aligning with National Training Packages, Apprenticeships Australia, and Jobs Australia schemes.

These competitions span more than 60 trades and skills across seven skill clusters, designed by industry experts to assess participants’ knowledge, practical competence, and employability skills.

The journey begins at the grassroots level, with over 500 Regional Competitions held biennially across 34 regions in Australia. These events test the skills of more than 4,000 apprentices, trainees, and students, offering them the chance to win medals and advance to the national level.

By promoting and nurturing a skills culture, WorldSkills Australia plays a vital role in celebrating excellence and showcasing the importance of vocational education and training.

MIGAS congratulates Harry on his gold medal victory, and wishes him the best of luck as he prepares for the National competition to be held in Brisbane next year!
