MIGAS Women in Trades Shine at Training Awards

In the world of trades and vocational training, recognition of excellence is not just a personal achievement, it's a testament to the industry's bright future.

This year, MIGAS is proud to highlight three exceptional women who have made their mark with an Australian Apprenticeship. Their success stories not only showcase individual talent but also underscore the growing diversity and strength of our trades and industry-related workforce.

MIGAS celebrates these remarkable trainees who are breaking barriers and setting new standards of excellence.

Tania Langton was named the Bob Marshman Trainee of the Year for the Darling Downs South West region in the Queensland Training Awards.

Tania completed her Water Treatment Operations Traineeship with MIGAS and host Origin Energy, and from the outset was acknowledged for her dedication, integrity, reliability and communication skills.

In 2022 she received a Top Performer accolade in MIGAS's Scholarship Program as a result of her outstanding achievements in her traineeship.

Last but by no means least, Lucia Cutri was named a WA Trainee of the Year finalist in the 2024 Western Australian Training Awards.

MiTraining General Manager, Stacey Wallace, recently sat down with Lucia to discuss her Business Traineeship studies with MiTraining, combined with her on-the-job training with MIGAS host employer, Statewide Bearings.

Watch that conversation here:

The achievements of Tania, Isabella, and Lucia serve as powerful inspirations for all aspiring trades professionals. Their success demonstrates that with dedication, skill, and the right support, individuals can excel in any field they choose.

These awards are not just personal triumphs; they're milestones that showcase the high calibre of talent in trade industries.

MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees looks forward to seeing more success stories like these in the years to come, as the next generation of trades professionals rises to meet new challenges and opportunities.
