Can We Help Your Students or School-Leaver Find Apprenticeship Job Opportunities?

How Does It Work?

We employ apprentices and place them with a host organisation. We work with household names across Australia like Shell's QGC Business, Origin Energy, Johnson Controls, BHP, Bengalla Mining Company, Jaybro, Roadtek, and more, as well as successful privately owned small businesses.

As a community-focused not-for-profit organisation, MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees can help your students or school-leaver find meaningful career opportunities in full-time, paid trade apprenticeships once they leave school.

To Give You Peace of Mind...

MIGAS is a longstanding not-for-profit operating in Australia since 1988. We've equipped thousands of "tradies" who work throughout Australia.

We know it’s a time where the choices can seem overwhelming – but having all the facts can help with the decision-making process.

78% Better Than The National Average

According to a 2021 report NCVER, our apprenticeship completion rate is 78% better than the national average. Each apprentice gets a dedicated team member who conducts on-the-job performance management and coordinates on-site training, so we believe this contributes to more of our apprentices completing their qualification to become a tradie.

What About Inclusion and Diversity?

At MIGAS, diversity is more than a pledge; it is the foundation of what we do. We are an equal-opportunity employer that welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and women in trades.

Hiring Apprentices Returning to Country

We have an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander apprentice participation rate of 9% and recently onboarded a cohort of seven indigenous apprentices who are returning to country.

Women in Trades

We also have 9% female representation in our trade apprenticeships, which is nine times higher than the national average according to a 2022 EWIT report.

Mental Health for Apprentices

Health and wellbeing are essential. We have several initiatives for apprentices, including a dedicated, free text-and-call counselling service through our partner, TIACS. Our on-site team members are Mental Health First Aid Officers™, and we give every apprentice a uniform allowance for their PPE equipment (so it's free too).
