Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enrol?

The process is simple and we’re here to support you through each step. Browse the course offerings on this website, choose your course, select book now and enter your preferred payment method.
Once your payment is complete you will receive your log in details to access your professional development course. Still not sure which course is right for you? Phone us on 1300 549 190.

How are the courses delivered?

All courses are delivered fully online and are accessed through the MiTraining Learning Management System (LMS) called Moodle. The LMS can be accessed at any time from your phone, tablet or PC. The LMS is your online classroom for working through the entire course.

What are the course fees?

The total course fees are clearly stated on each course page. Course fees are inclusive of:

  • Access to the course materials on the online Learning Management System;
  • Administrative and technical support from student services.
How can I pay for my course?

Payment for professional development courses is required prior to commencement of the course and can be made online through our secure payment gateway or over the phone on 1300 549 190.

Are there assessments?

Professional development courses do not require you to complete assessment items. The content is delivered in chapters with questions posed at the end of each chapter to encourage reflective learning.

How long will it take to complete the course?

The professional development courses are self-paced and student feedback is that it can take between 3 - 5 hours to work through the content.

How long will I have access to the course?

You will have access to your preferred course for 3 months. This means you will be able to log in over the 3-month period at times that suit you to view the material and refresh your learning.

Are the courses accredited?

A professional development course (non-accredited) simply means the course is not part of a formal qualification. These courses are excellent for picking up new skills quickly. Think of them as a skills-shot in an area you need to develop in quickly, or gain more confidence in applying these skills in your work environment. Each course is self-paced, meaning you can start any time and work through the course at your own pace.
