Fabrication Apprenticeship
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Fabrication Apprentice to join Rapid Perforating who are a proudly Australian owned and operated company specialising in perforated metal, treadplate, handrails, gantries, and expanded metal products.
The role will be based in their workshop in Ingleburn, 40 kilometres south-west of Sydney CBD.
Job Details
Working under the direction of your supervisor, duties will include:
- Learning all the intricacies of cutting, grinding, welding, and bending steel in an engineering workshop
- Light fabrication work
- Perforated sheeting and steel fabrication work using a wide range of metals such as aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, and colour bond sheeting
- Using a range of machinery as well as hand and power tools
- Interpreting drawings
- General workshop duties
Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Fabricator and earn your MEM30322 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.

- Standard hours 7am to 3:30pm with Friday finish at 1pm

- Opportunity to access Government subsidy payments of up to a total of $5000 for the first 2 years of your apprenticeship paid in 6 monthly instalments

- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills essential
- Relative work experience or in a school environment a plus
- Good safety awareness
- Driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
